About Steven S. Brooks, MD MBA FACC

Dr. Brooks is a multi-faceted healthcare consultant, publisher, and clinical trialist. Expertise includes regulatory strategy, scientific and medical due diligence, and medical technology commercialization.  An Interventional Cardiologist who worked six years as a Medical Officer for the FDA in the Office of Device Evaluation (ODE), he is currently a principal in Brooks Medtech, LLC, a Senior Analyst with Popper and Company, an Expert Consultant with NDA Partners and a Principal at Deep Water Point.

In these roles, Dr. Brooks is active in developing thought leadership, content and consultation on multiple interconnected strategic areas.  By leveraging a large network of contacts in academia, government, including the FDA and CMS, and industry, nuanced guidance is developed for diverse client needs.  He has held industry and board positions with medical technology companies, and continues to teach and mentor at Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland.
